A Fun-Filled & Educational Day for the entire Family!

Co-Hosted by Marion County Recycling & Litter Prevention.  Activities include: Mini Zip Lines, Fire Pit, Interpretive Trail, Archery Booth, Kids Crafts, Petting Zoo, Nature Scavenger Hunt, Outdoor Education Classes, Local Vendors & Businesses, Promotional Items, Environmental Education Activities, Hand-Painted Rain Barrel Raffle, and Giant Corn Box. 

Food, refreshments and s'mores will be available for purchase.   Thanks to our sponsors and volunteers; admission to the event is FREE!

Schedule

12:00 pm - Gate opens for the 5th Annual Community Earth Day Celebration.

12:00 am - 4:00 pm - Local vendors and businesses will be set up.  Available goods for purchase include: local honey, homemade personal care products and makeup, maple syrup, farm fresh eggs, flowers, essential oils, eco-friendly cleaning products, plastic free goodies, filtered water, jewelry, re-purposed and reinvented clothing, and recycled leather bags.

Hourly educational workshops, environmental sustainability demonstrations and promotional items. Local businesses such as: Del-Co Water Company, Mid-Ohio Energy Cooperative, Dan Kelly Stump Grinding, Scentsy, Rob’s Hauling, Marion County Park District, ECO Center, A Perfect Mess Vintage, Intended 4 You, Landes Produce, and Marion & Morrow County Recycling & Litter Prevention.

3:00 pm - Meatless Marvels; Carving Meat from Your Diet - Cari Newton, Vegan Chef Extraordinaire

Rain Barrel Raffle:

8 Rain Barrels Hand-Painted by local artists will be raffled off starting at 3:00 pm.  Purchase Rain Barrel Tickets in advance or at the day of the event. You do not have to be present to win. Our talented Rain Barrel Artists include: Ben Kern, Annette Temple Montis, Emily Hooper, Patty Brown, Katie McCurry, Tracy Bastidas, and Rob Stokley.
